Description
Incorrect authorization in Workers in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to bypass web origin policy via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome Workers prior to 153.0.8010.36 allows remote attackers to bypass web origin policies. This is achieved through a crafted HTML page that exploits incorrect authorization in SharedWorkers created via the Storage Access API. The flaw enables the attachment of SameSite cookies inappropriately, potentially leading to Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) and tracking issues in third-party contexts.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
