Description
Information leak in ServiceWorker in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to obtain sensitive information via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A medium-severity information leak vulnerability has been identified in Google Chrome versions prior to 153.0.8010.36. The issue resides in the Service Worker component, where a remote attacker who has compromised the renderer process can exploit a crafted HTML page to access sensitive information. This vulnerability allows the extraction of privileged telemetry and TLS metadata, including internal network configurations and SSL certificate verification data, by bypassing the security boundary between the browser and the renderer.
The vulnerability has been fixed in Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36. Users should update to this version to address the issue.
