Description
Incorrect authorization in Navigation in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to spoof UI elements via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome's navigation handling, present in versions prior to 153.0.8010.36, allowed remote attackers to spoof user interface elements. This was achieved by injecting arbitrary cross-origin URLs into the user's browsing history via a compromised renderer process. The vulnerability exploited incorrect authorization in the navigation component, bypassing standard history management to create persistent UI changes that could facilitate phishing attacks.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
