Description
Net::Async::Statsd::Client versions through 0.005 for Perl allow metric injections. The metric names are not checked for newlines, colons or pipes. Metrics generated from untrusted sources could inject additional statsd metrics.
A vulnerability exists in Net::Async::Statsd::Client for Perl, specifically in versions through 0.005, allowing for metric injection attacks. The issue arises because metric names are not properly validated for newlines, colons, or pipes. As a result, metrics created from untrusted sources can inject additional StatsD metrics, potentially leading to unintended consequences.
