Description
The Real3D Flipbook WordPress plugin before 5.4 does not perform capability checks on several of its authenticated flipbook management actions, allowing users with Author-level access and above to delete other users' flipbook content and overwrite administrator-only global settings, which can be leveraged to store JavaScript that executes in the context of any visitor or administrator viewing the site.
A vulnerability exists in the Real3D Flipbook WordPress plugin in versions prior to 5.4, where the plugin fails to implement proper capability checks on several authenticated flipbook management actions. This oversight enables users with Author-level access and above to delete flipbook content belonging to other users and to overwrite global settings reserved for administrators. Such actions can be exploited to inject JavaScript that executes in the context of any visitor or administrator viewing the site.
Users are advised to update the Real3D Flipbook WordPress plugin to version 5.4 or later.
