Description
OS Command Injection vulnerability in Rapid7 InsightConnect Finger Plugin on Linux allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands via the user or host parameters due to insufficient input validation in shell command construction.
An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the Rapid7 InsightConnect Finger Plugin for Linux. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary operating system commands by manipulating the user or host parameters. The issue arises from inadequate input validation in the construction of shell commands.
Users are advised to update to version 1.0.4 of the Rapid7 InsightConnect Finger Plugin, which addresses the input validation issue that allowed OS command injection.
