Description
In JetBrains YouTrack before 2025.3.161254, 2026.1.14042 improper authentication in YouTrack Helpdesk allowed unauthenticated account takeover via a self-asserted email address
A critical vulnerability exists in JetBrains YouTrack versions prior to 2025.3.161254 and 2026.1.14042. The issue stems from improper authentication in the YouTrack Helpdesk, which allowed unauthenticated users to take over accounts by self-asserting an email address. This vulnerability could be exploited to gain unauthorized access to user accounts and their associated data.
Users can update to YouTrack versions 2025.3.161254 or 2026.1.14042 to address this vulnerability.
