Description
A vulnerability was identified in SourceCodester Class and Exam Timetabling System 1.0. Affected by this vulnerability is the function mysqli_query of the file /admin/modal_add_room.php. The manipulation of the argument room_name leads to sql injection. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used.
A SQL injection vulnerability exists in SourceCodester's Class and Exam Timetabling System version 1.0. The issue is located in the file '/admin/modal_add_room.php', where the 'room_name' parameter is improperly validated before being used in a SQL query. This flaw allows remote attackers to inject malicious SQL code, potentially leading to unauthorized database access, data manipulation, and leakage of sensitive information.
It is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection. Additionally, input validation and filtering should be implemented to ensure user input conforms to expected formats.
