Description
Bilibili Desktop through 1.18.0 disables TLS certificate verification process-wide and executes unsigned remote JavaScript configuration without integrity checks. An attacker in an on-path network position can intercept configuration fetches, inject arbitrary JavaScript executed in the renderer with access to the privileged IPC bridge, and execute system commands or steal login credentials.
A vulnerability in Bilibili Desktop for Windows, affecting versions through 1.18.0, allows for remote code execution due to a process-wide disablement of TLS certificate verification. This flaw enables an on-path attacker to intercept configuration fetches and inject arbitrary JavaScript that is executed in the application's renderer. The injected code has access to the privileged IPC bridge, allowing for the execution of system commands or the theft of login credentials.
Users can update to Bilibili Desktop version 1.19.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
