Description
A vulnerability was determined in Tenda HG10 300001138. This issue affects the function formWanRedirect of the file /boaform/formWanRedirect of the component Boa Web Server. Executing a manipulation of the argument if can lead to buffer overflow. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Tenda HG10 AC1200 Dualband Wi-Fi xPON ONT router, specifically in the Boa web server's 'formWanRedirect' interface. This vulnerability arises because the 'if' parameter is not properly validated before being copied into a fixed-size buffer, allowing remote attackers to send overly long values and overwrite adjacent memory. The issue has been publicly disclosed and could be exploited to cause a denial-of-service condition, where the router stops responding.
