Description
Trigger.dev versions before 4.5.2 fail to validate environment membership during run replay operations, allowing authenticated attackers to inject task runs into arbitrary environments. Attackers can replay their own runs into other organizations' or projects' environments to consume victim resources and pollute run history.
A vulnerability exists in Trigger.dev versions prior to 4.5.2, where the application fails to properly validate environment membership during run replay operations. This oversight allows authenticated attackers to inject task runs into arbitrary environments. Exploitation of this vulnerability enables attackers to replay their own runs into other organizations' or projects' environments, thereby consuming the resources of the targeted organization and disrupting run history.
Users can update to Trigger.dev version 4.5.2 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
