Description
Inappropriate implementation in Downloads in Google Chrome on Mac prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed an attacker who convinced a user to install a malicious extension to perform UI spoofing via a crafted Chrome Extension. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in the Downloads component of Google Chrome for Mac, affecting versions prior to 148.0.7778.168, allowed an attacker to perform UI spoofing. This was achieved by convincing a user to install a malicious extension, which could then manipulate the user interface in a deceptive manner.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 148.0.7778.168 or later to address this vulnerability.
