CVE-2026-85581 Details
Description
SiYuan before v3.8.2 contains a denial of service vulnerability in the unauthenticated /api/system/uiproc endpoint that accepts and retains attacker-controlled process identifiers without size limits or authentication. Attackers can send repeated requests with unique identifiers to exhaust process memory and degrade service availability.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in SiYuan versions prior to 3.8.2. The issue resides in the unauthenticated '/api/system/uiproc' endpoint, which accepts and retains process identifiers controlled by attackers, without any size limits or authentication. This allows attackers to send repeated requests with unique identifiers, leading to excessive memory consumption and degraded service availability.
Users are advised to update to SiYuan version 3.8.2 or later, and to implement authentication or access token requirements for the '/api/system/uiproc' endpoint. Additionally, process identifiers should be validated, and a global limit and expiration policy for retained identifiers should be established.
