Description
Type Confusion in ANGLE in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to perform an out of bounds memory write via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
A type confusion vulnerability has been identified in ANGLE, a component of Google Chrome, on Windows systems prior to version 148.0.7778.168. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker who has compromised the renderer process to perform an out of bounds memory write by using a crafted HTML page. The issue arises from improper handling of data, which can be exploited to overwrite memory locations, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution.
