Description
Insufficient policy enforcement in Passwords in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to perform privilege escalation via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
A vulnerability in the Passwords component of Google Chrome on Windows, in versions prior to 148.0.7778.168, allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to escalate privileges through a crafted HTML page. This issue arose from insufficient policy enforcement.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 148.0.7778.168 or later to address this vulnerability.
