Description
A security flaw has been discovered in code-projects Hospital Information System 1.0. Affected by this vulnerability is the function getSinglePresp of the file includes/presp/PrespController.php. Performing a manipulation of the argument ID results in sql injection. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks.
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in Code-Projects Hospital Information System version 1.0. The issue resides in the 'getSinglePresp' function of 'includes/presp/PrespController.php'. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to manipulate the 'id' parameter, injecting malicious SQL that could be executed by the database. The flaw arises from inadequate input validation, enabling unauthorized access to the database, data manipulation, and potential leakage of sensitive information.
To address this vulnerability, it is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
