CVE-2026-85131 Details
Description
The WPLP Cookie Consent WordPress plugin before 4.4.4 does not perform CSRF or capability checks when processing bulk actions on its administration screens, and does not restrict the targeted items to its own records, allowing attackers to make a logged in admin permanently delete arbitrary posts and pages via a crafted request.
A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability has been identified in the WPLP Cookie Consent WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 4.4.4. The vulnerability arises because the plugin does not implement CSRF or capability checks when handling bulk actions on its administration screens. Additionally, it fails to limit the targeted items to its own records. This oversight allows attackers to craft requests that can make a logged-in admin permanently delete arbitrary posts and pages.
Users are advised to update the WPLP Cookie Consent WordPress plugin to version 4.4.4 or later.
