Description
The VikBooking Hotel Booking Engine & PMS WordPress plugin before 1.8.15 does not restrict the type of files unauthenticated visitors may attach to its live chat, nor sanitize their contents, allowing them to store active content which is executed in the context of an administrator viewing the conversation.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the VikBooking Hotel Booking Engine & PMS WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 1.8.15. The vulnerability arises because the plugin does not restrict the types of files that unauthenticated users can attach in live chat, nor does it sanitize the contents of these attachments. This oversight allows the inclusion of active content, which is executed when an administrator views the conversation.
Users are advised to update the VikBooking Hotel Booking Engine & PMS WordPress plugin to version 1.8.15 or later.
