Description
A vulnerability was identified in simular-ai Agent-S up to 0.3.2. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file grounding.py of the component Model-generated GUI Action Execution Workflow. The manipulation leads to denial of service. A denial-of-service vulnerability exists in Simular-AI Agent-S versions through 0.3.2. The issue arises in the grounding.py file within the Model-generated GUI Action Execution Workflow component. This vulnerability allows remote exploitation, where a crafted task prompt can manipulate action parameters without proper validation, leading to resource exhaustion on the server.
To address this vulnerability, it is recommended to implement strict validation for model-generated action parameters before execution. This includes enforcing maximum limits for wait durations, scroll counts, hotkey list lengths, and typed text lengths. Additionally, establishing per-action timeouts and integrating cost budgets across all worker steps can help mitigate the issue.
