CVE-2026-84808 Details
Description
Kimai versions before 2.65.0 contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in the REST API timesheet collection endpoint that fails to enforce activity-team access controls. Users with view_other_timesheet permission can list timesheets using activities restricted to teams they do not belong to, bypassing intended data isolation.
A vulnerability allowing authorization bypass has been identified in Kimai versions prior to 2.65.0. This issue resides in the REST API timesheet collection endpoint, which fails to properly enforce activity-team access controls. As a result, users with the 'view_other_timesheet' permission can access timesheets associated with activities limited to teams they do not belong to, thereby circumventing intended data isolation. The vulnerability arises because the timesheet repository only verifies project and customer team permissions, leaving a gap that can be exploited by users with certain roles.
Users can update to Kimai version 2.65.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
