CVE-2026-84804 Details
Description
Kimai before 2.65.0 fails to properly validate permissions when removing team access to activities, projects, and customers via API endpoints. Authenticated users with edit_team permission can revoke team access without the required permissions_activity check, bypassing authorization controls.
An authorization bypass vulnerability has been identified in Kimai versions prior to 2.65.0. The issue arises in the API endpoints that manage team access to activities, projects, and customers. Authenticated users with the 'edit_team' permission can revoke access without the necessary 'permissions_activity' check, thereby bypassing authorization controls. This vulnerability allows users to remove a team's access to an activity without proper permission management.
Users can update to Kimai version 2.65.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been addressed. For more information, visit the Kimai security advisory page.
