CVE-2026-84799 Details
Description
Craft CMS before 5.11.0 fails to enforce user-group scope filters on native GraphQL user relations including author, authors, uploader, draftCreator, and revisionCreator fields. Attackers with a scoped GraphQL token can query these relations to read usernames, email addresses, and full names of any content author or uploader including administrators.
A vulnerability exists in Craft CMS versions 5.0.0-RC1 prior to 5.11.0, where user-group scope filters are not properly enforced on native GraphQL user relations. This oversight allows attackers with a scoped GraphQL token to access usernames, email addresses, and full names of content authors and uploaders, including administrators, through fields such as author, authors, uploader, draftCreator, and revisionCreator.
Users can upgrade to Craft CMS version 5.11.0 or later to address this vulnerability.
