Description
An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. Connecting to a malicious SMB server may lead to unexpected system termination.
A vulnerability exists in the SMB (Server Message Block) implementation of Apple macOS in the Golden Gate 27, Sequoia 15.8, and Tahoe 26.7 versions. This vulnerability allows for an out-of-bounds read, which can be exploited by connecting to a malicious SMB server. The improper bounds checking can lead to unexpected termination of the system.
