Description
An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. An app may be able to gain root privileges.
A vulnerability in the handling of disk images was identified, allowing for an out-of-bounds write. This issue could potentially be exploited by an application to gain root privileges. The vulnerability is present in multiple macOS versions, including Golden Gate 27, Sequoia 15.8, and Tahoe 26.7.
Users can update to macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, or macOS Tahoe 26.7 to address this vulnerability.
