Description
A vulnerability was determined in OpenCart 4.1.0.3/4.1.0.4. This affects an unknown function of the file catalog/controller/account/edit.php of the component Autocomplete Workflow. This manipulation of the argument firstname causes cross site scripting. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in OpenCart versions 4.1.0.3 and 4.1.0.4. The issue arises in the Autocomplete Workflow component, specifically within the file 'catalog/controller/account/edit.php'. The vulnerability allows a normal front-office user to inject malicious HTML, which is later executed as JavaScript in the admin panel. This exploitation occurs without the need for administrator privileges, by manipulating the 'firstname' profile field, which is then processed and rendered into the backend without proper sanitization.
