Description
The Kirki WordPress plugin before 6.3.0 does not escape a user-supplied identifier before using it in a SQL query, allowing users with editor-level access and above to append arbitrary SQL and read the contents of the database, including user credentials.
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the Kirki WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 6.3.0. The issue arises because the plugin does not properly escape user-supplied identifiers before incorporating them into SQL queries. This flaw allows users with editor-level access and above to inject arbitrary SQL, potentially leading to unauthorized access to database contents, including user credentials.
Users are advised to update the Kirki WordPress plugin to version 6.3.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
