Description
The Xpro Addons — 140+ Widgets for Elementor WordPress plugin before 1.7.9 does not validate or sanitize a widget link setting before storing and using it in a JavaScript navigation call, allowing users with the contributor role and above to inject and store JavaScript that executes in the browser of anyone who interacts with the affected widget.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Xpro Addons - 140+ Widgets for Elementor WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 1.7.9. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly validate or sanitize a widget link setting before saving it and using it in a JavaScript navigation call. This flaw allows users with a contributor role or higher to inject and store JavaScript that executes in the browsers of individuals who interact with the affected widget.
Users are advised to update the Xpro Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin to version 1.7.9 or later.
