CVE-2026-84044 Details
Description
The Restaurant Menu and Food Ordering WordPress plugin before 2.4.12 does not verify that a PayPal payment notification genuinely originates from PayPal, allowing unauthenticated attackers to forge a payment notification and mark their own order as paid and completed without making any payment.
A vulnerability exists in the Restaurant Menu and Food Ordering WordPress plugin in versions prior to 2.4.12. The issue arises because the plugin does not properly verify that PayPal payment notifications are authentic. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to fake a payment notification and falsely mark an order as paid and completed, without actually making any payment.
Users are advised to update the Restaurant Menu and Food Ordering WordPress plugin to version 2.4.12 or later.
