Description
The Directorist: AI-Powered Business Directory, Listings & Classified Ads WordPress plugin before 8.9.5 does not check user capabilities when creating orders through its REST API, allowing users with the subscriber role and above to create paid order and payment records with arbitrary amounts and attribute them to other users.
A vulnerability exists in the Directorist: AI-Powered Business Directory, Listings & Classified Ads WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 8.9.5. The issue arises because the plugin's REST API for order creation does not properly validate user capabilities. This flaw enables users with the subscriber role and above to generate paid order and payment records with arbitrary amounts, assigning them to other users.
Users are advised to update the Directorist WordPress plugin to version 8.9.5 or later.
