Description
The BEAR WordPress plugin before 1.2.2 does not verify a CSRF nonce before saving its meta field configuration, allowing an attacker to overwrite that configuration by tricking a logged-in administrator into visiting a crafted page.
A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability exists in the BEAR WordPress plugin, specifically in versions prior to 1.2.2. The issue arises because the plugin fails to validate a CSRF nonce before saving its meta field configuration. This oversight allows an attacker to manipulate the configuration by deceiving a logged-in administrator into visiting a specially crafted page.
Users are advised to update the BEAR WordPress plugin to version 1.2.2 or later.
