Description
The CoolClock WordPress plugin before 4.3.8 does not properly escape a skin setting before outputting it within an HTML attribute, allowing users with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when the content is viewed.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the CoolClock WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 4.3.8. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly escape a skin setting before rendering it within an HTML attribute. This flaw allows users with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts, which are executed when the content is viewed.
Users are advised to update the CoolClock WordPress plugin to version 4.3.8 or later.
