Description
The Really Simple Security WordPress plugin before 9.5.10.1 does not enforce the second-factor challenge in two of its two-factor authentication REST endpoints, allowing an attacker who knows a user's password to obtain a WordPress authentication session for that user without completing the email OTP challenge.
A vulnerability exists in the Really Simple Security WordPress plugin in versions prior to 9.5.10.1, where the second-factor authentication challenge is not properly enforced in two REST endpoints. This flaw allows an attacker who knows a user's password to bypass the email OTP requirement and gain a WordPress authentication session for that user.
Users are advised to update the Really Simple Security WordPress plugin to version 9.5.10.1 or later.
