Description
Cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in Contec RP-WAH-SR Series. If this vulnerability is exploited, an arbitrary script may be executed on a logged-in user's web browser.
A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Contec RP-WAH-SR Series, which includes models RP-WAH-SR1, RP-WAH-SR2, RP-WAH-SR12, and RP-WAH-SR22, all running versions prior to the latest release. This vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary scripts in the web browser of a logged-in user.
Users are advised to update the firmware to version 1.03 or later for RP-WAH-SR1 and RP-WAH-SR2 models, and to version 1.02 or later for RP-WAH-SR12 and RP-WAH-SR22 models. The latest firmware can be downloaded from the Contec website. For those unable to update, it is recommended to disconnect the product from network lines, install a firewall to allow only trusted communications, and configure network access within a trusted closed network.
