Description
Path traversal vulnerability exists in SGA1000. If this vulnerability is exploited, arbitrary files on the server may be viewed and/or altered by an attacker who can access the product via FTP.
A path traversal vulnerability has been identified in the Contec FLEXLAN SGA1000 product, all versions prior to 1.02. This vulnerability allows an attacker with FTP access to the device to view and potentially modify arbitrary files on the server.
Users are advised to update the firmware to version 1.02 or later. The latest firmware can be downloaded from the Contec website. For those unable to update, it is recommended to disconnect the device from network lines, install a firewall to control communications, and configure network access within a trusted closed network.
