Description
Path traversal vulnerability exists in Contec FX5000 series, FX4000 series, and FX3000 series. If this vulnerability is exploited, arbitrary files on the server may be viewed and/or altered by an attacker who can access the product via FTP.
A path traversal vulnerability has been identified in Contec's FX5000, FX4000, and FX3000 series, all versions prior to the latest firmware updates. This vulnerability allows an attacker with FTP access to the device to view and potentially modify arbitrary files on the server.
Users are advised to update the firmware to version 1.12.00 or later for the FX5000 and FX4000 series, and to version 1.20.00 or later for the FX3000 series. For the SGA1000, RP-WAH-SR series, and EC1000 series, similar firmware updates are recommended. Instructions for downloading the latest firmware are available on the Contec website.
