CVE-2026-82184 Details
Description
The WPLP Cookie Consent WordPress plugin before 4.4.2 does not have any authorisation or CSRF checks when storing visitor consent state, and the code that does so runs on every front-end page load, allowing unauthenticated attackers to overwrite a site-wide option with arbitrary data.
A vulnerability exists in the WPLP Cookie Consent WordPress plugin in versions prior to 4.4.2. The issue arises because the plugin lacks proper authorization and Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protections when saving visitor consent preferences. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to modify a site-wide option with arbitrary information, as the vulnerable code executes on every front-end page load.
Users are advised to update the WPLP Cookie Consent WordPress plugin to version 4.4.2 or later.
