CVE-2026-82183 Details
Description
The OAuth Single Sign On WordPress plugin before 7.0.1 does not verify the identity assertion returned by its Steam single sign-on flow, allowing unauthenticated attackers to log in as an arbitrary non-administrator user, and to create new accounts.
An authentication bypass vulnerability has been identified in the OAuth Single Sign On WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 7.0.1. The vulnerability arises because the plugin does not properly verify the identity assertion from its Steam single sign-on process. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to log in as any non-administrator user and to create new accounts.
Users are advised to update the OAuth Single Sign On WordPress plugin to version 7.0.1 or later.
