Description
The Frontend Admin by DynamiApps WordPress plugin before 3.29.13 does not properly validate a user-controllable directory path before deleting files within it, allowing unauthenticated attackers to delete index.php and .htaccess files outside the intended directory, including the WordPress root, which can render the site inoperable. Successful exploitation requires a non-default form configuration.
A vulnerability exists in the Frontend Admin by DynamiApps WordPress plugin in versions prior to 3.29.13. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly validate user-controlled directory paths before deleting files, which allows unauthenticated attackers to remove index.php and .htaccess files from unintended locations, including the WordPress root directory. This behavior can disrupt site functionality. Exploitation of this vulnerability requires a non-default form configuration.
Users are advised to update the Frontend Admin by DynamiApps WordPress plugin to version 3.29.13 or later.
