Description
The MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin WordPress plugin before 3.7.50 does not perform per-object ownership or capability checks when updating orders through its REST API, allowing users with the Instructor role to modify any order on the site, granting free course enrolment, revoking other users' paid enrolments, and tampering with order notes.
A vulnerability exists in the MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin in versions prior to 3.7.50. The issue arises because the plugin's REST API for order updates lacks proper ownership and capability checks. This flaw enables users with the Instructor role to alter any order on the site. Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized course enrollments, revocation of paid enrollments from other users, and manipulation of order notes.
Users are advised to update the MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin to version 3.7.50 or later.
