Description
Insufficient validation of untrusted input in Updater in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 148.0.7778.96 allowed a local attacker to perform OS-level privilege escalation via a malicious file. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in the Updater component of Google Chrome for Windows, in versions prior to 148.0.7778.96, allows local attackers to escalate privileges at the operating system level by exploiting insufficient validation of untrusted input. This exploitation can be achieved through a malicious file.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 148.0.7778.96 or later to address this vulnerability.
