Description
metatool-ai MetaMCP up to and including 2.4.22 is vulnerable to Code Execution in the internal MCP inspector proxy endpoint GET /mcp-proxy/server/stdio (createTransport, STDIO branch, routers/mcp-proxy/server.ts).
A code execution vulnerability has been identified in metatool-ai MetaMCP versions through 2.4.22. The issue arises in the internal MCP inspector proxy endpoint GET /mcp-proxy/server/stdio, specifically within the createTransport function's STDIO branch. This vulnerability allows authenticated users to execute commands in the application container.
As of September 22, 2026, no patched release has been identified. Until a patch is available, it is advised to restrict public access to the inspector proxy routes, disable open self-registration, and rotate any secrets that were in the environment of an exposed deployment.
