Description
Certain Woltlab products are affected by RCE via Cache Poisoning. WCF >= 6.1.0 until < 6.1.23 and WCF >= 6.2.0 until < 6.2.6. An authenticated low-privileged user can inject PHP into executable cache files generated by WoltLab Suite Core. Attacker-controlled data can terminate the nowdoc prematurely and inject arbitrary PHP Code.
A remote code execution vulnerability has been identified in certain WoltLab products, specifically in WCF versions 6.1.0 prior to 6.1.23 and WCF versions 6.2.0 prior to 6.2.6. This vulnerability allows authenticated low-privileged users to inject PHP code into executable cache files created by WoltLab Suite Core. The injected data can manipulate the nowdoc syntax to prematurely terminate it and execute arbitrary PHP code.
Users are advised to update to WoltLab Suite versions 6.2.6 or 6.1.23. Instructions for updating are available in the WoltLab Community Update Announcement.
