Description
IBM i 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3 could allow a user to gain elevated privileges due to an unqualified library call. A malicious actor could cause user-controlled code to run with administrator privilege.
A privilege escalation vulnerability has been identified in IBM i versions 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3. The issue arises from an unqualified library call, which could allow a user to execute code with administrator privileges.
Users can upgrade to a supported version of IBM i that includes the necessary patches. Instructions for downloading the patches are available on the IBM My Support website. Users running unsupported versions should upgrade to a supported version.
