Description
The WP Magnific Popup WordPress plugin through 1.0 does not properly escape user-controlled link URLs before injecting them into the DOM when displaying image load error messages, allowing authenticated attackers with Author-level access or above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks against any visiting user.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WP Magnific Popup WordPress plugin, affecting versions through 1.0. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly escape user-controlled link URLs before injecting them into the DOM. This flaw occurs when the plugin displays image load error messages, allowing authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher to execute stored cross-site scripting attacks against any user visiting the affected post.
