Description
The Smart Post WordPress plugin before 4.0.8 does not check the type, ownership or status of the post it is asked to duplicate, allowing users with contributor privileges and above to copy any private or password protected post into a draft of their own and read its content and metadata.
A vulnerability exists in the Smart Post WordPress plugin in versions prior to 4.0.8, where the plugin fails to verify the type, ownership, or status of posts being duplicated. This oversight allows users with contributor privileges and above to replicate any private or password-protected post into their own draft, thereby gaining access to the content and metadata of the original post.
Users are advised to update the Smart Post WordPress plugin to version 4.0.8 or later.
