Description
A vulnerability was detected in CodeCanyon Perfex CRM up to 3.4.1. This affects the function Clients::project of the file application/controllers/Clients.php of the component Tenant Handler. The manipulation of the argument ID results in authorization bypass. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit is now public and may be used.
A cross-tenant insecure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerability has been identified in CodeCanyon Perfex CRM versions through 3.4.1. The issue resides in the Clients::project function within application/controllers/Clients.php, specifically in the Tenant Handler component. This vulnerability allows authenticated users with the 'projects' permission to bypass authorization and manipulate discussion-related IDs in the POST body, accessing or altering comments on projects belonging to other tenants.
Users are advised to update Perfex CRM to the latest version once a patch is available. In the meantime, restrict the 'projects' contact permission to those who genuinely need it.
