CVE-2026-77792 Details
Description
The RegistrationMagic WordPress plugin before 6.0.9.9 does not escape a registration form field value before outputting it in an HTML attribute on an administrative page, allowing unauthenticated users to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks against high privilege users such as admin.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the RegistrationMagic WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 6.0.9.9. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly escape registration form field values before displaying them in HTML attributes on administrative pages. This flaw allows unauthenticated users to execute stored cross-site scripting attacks against high-privilege users, such as administrators. Exploitation requires the vulnerable field type to be present on a published form, configured to display on the registrant profile page, and the plugin's premium add-on to be inactive.
Users are advised to update the RegistrationMagic WordPress plugin to version 6.0.9.9 or later.
