Description
The GamiPress WordPress plugin before 7.9.9.6 does not properly restrict its video watch-tracking functionality, allowing users with a role as low as Subscriber to award the configured gamification points, achievements and ranks to arbitrary users including administrators, and to accrue them without limit.
A vulnerability exists in the GamiPress WordPress plugin in versions prior to 7.9.9.6. The issue arises from improper restrictions on the video watch-tracking feature, which allows users with a Subscriber role to award gamification points, achievements, and ranks to any user, including administrators. This can be done repeatedly without limitation.
Users are advised to update the GamiPress WordPress plugin to version 7.9.9.6 or later.
