Description
The Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'not_found' Shortcode Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.9.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Pods - Custom Content Types and Fields plugin for WordPress. This issue affects all versions through 3.3.9.1. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the affected page.
Users are advised to update the Pods WordPress plugin to version 3.3.9.2 or a newer patched version.
