CVE-2026-7620 Details
Description
The Notification for Telegram plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.1. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to create, modify, or reschedule the nftb_cron_hook WordPress cron event, enabling unauthorized manipulation of the plugin's background task scheduling logic.
A vulnerability allowing authorization bypass has been identified in the Notification for Telegram plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 3.5.1. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly verify user authorization for certain actions. This flaw enables authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher to create, modify, or reschedule the 'nftb_cron_hook' WordPress cron event. As a result, these attackers can unauthorizedly manipulate the plugin's background task scheduling.
Users are advised to update the Notification for Telegram WordPress plugin to version 3.5.2 or a later patched version.
